The Problem

Cat litter is sold by weight. The customer pays for 10 kg, the bag should hold 10 kg. No more, no less.

But filling machines drift. A bit more here, a bit less there. Over a full day of production, those "small" differences add up:

Overfilled bags — you're giving product away for free
Underfilled bags — customers weigh the bag, notice it's light, and complain. Or worse, they don't buy from you again

For a pet brand, this is a trust problem. Pet owners are picky. And they talk to each other.

What We Did

We installed a YW-XP500 checkweigher right after the sealing station, before the bags go to packing.

Each bag moves from the sealing line onto the checkweigher belt. It passes over the scale in a fraction of a second. The machine compares the weight to the target and decides: keep it, or take it out.

How It Works on the Line

The sealed bags move along the green belt, one after another
The touchscreen shows the weight of every bag in real time
Green light on the tower: weight is right, the bag keeps moving
Red light on the tower: weight is out of range — the bag gets pushed out of the line automatically

No one stands there watching the numbers. The machine watches itself. Right bags go forward, wrong bags get removed, and the line never stops.
