CQ-YWXP500 — Carton Check Weigher

CQ-YWXP500 Check Weigher for 40 kg Cartons on a Roller Line

A 40 kg range with a 1 g minimum scale, on a 900 × 500 mm belt that hands the pack to a roller takeaway. The pack arrives from the sealer, crosses the weighing section at 10 to 30 m/min and leaves on rollers, so this frame is the weighing station of a line rather than a stand-alone machine. Weigh each pack against the target held for it, and push the short ones off.

Rejection, Matched To Your Line

A failed pack is pushed off the rollers rather than carried past. The pusher sits across the roller takeaway on twin guide rods, driven by a cylinder behind the frame: on NG the plate travels across the belt width and takes the pack off sideways, so nothing is caught by hand and the run keeps moving.

The same frame can be built with a flap, an air blow or a swing arm instead. All four are pneumatic, so the line needs 0.6 to 1 MPa of external air.

Weighing A 40 kg Pack

The band depends on the pack, not only on the load cell. A carton that arrives square and crosses the weighing section at a steady speed reads as below; a sack that drops on or comes in at an angle wants a slower belt. The 1 g scale is there so a missing screw shows up long before the total drifts out of tolerance.

Stored programmes

Zero tracking runs continuously, with manual or automatic zero clearing following the drift as the belt turns. Up to 100 stored programmes keep the settings for each pack, recalled from the 10-inch colour touch screen, and the learning function stores a target from a run of good packs.

The Belt, The Rollers And The Drive

The weighing belt is 900 mm long and 500 mm wide in food grade PVC, so a pack up to 650 × 490 mm sits wholly on it with room to settle. Speed is adjustable from 10 to 30 m/min, which lets you trade throughput against the settling time a heavier pack needs.

Behind the belt it is a roller run, built as its own frame on its own legs — which is what lets a pack be pushed off sideways without disturbing the weighing section. A geared motor bolted to the frame drives the belt from one end.

Close-up of the belt drive: a dark grey ribbed geared motor bolted to a bracket under the end of the green belt, its terminal box below with a yellow warning triangle, the belt passing over its end pulley above, and the stainless framework and a yellow warning label behind

How The Weight Decision Is Made

A sensor sees the pack arrive, the weighing section is where the cell reads it, and the verdict is carried out at the end of the roller run. The cell samples continuously, so the controller holds a curve across the whole pass rather than one snapshot: the software takes the stable part of it, compares it with the target and tolerance stored for that pack, and decides good or NG. On NG the lamp reports and the pusher fires.

Weight records come out through USB, RS232 or RS485, so the data can go to a printer, a PLC or a line system.

Where The XP500 Fits

The 40 kg range with the 900 × 500 mm belt is for cartons, sacks, drums and boxed goods up to 650 × 490 mm and 40 kg a piece, at up to about 30 packs a minute — packing halls where the check is the last guard before the pallet.

It is not the frame for sachets, small pharmaceutical packs or anything weighed in fractions of a gram; those want a narrower belt and a finer scale. Nor is it intended for pallet loads. Send the pack size and the weight per piece and we will say which frame the job belongs on.

On The Floor

Every unit is assembled and run on our own floor before it is packed.

Common Questions

What will fit on the 900 × 500 mm belt?

Cartons, sacks, drums and boxed goods up to 650 mm long, 490 mm wide and 40 kg each.

How accurate is it, and what does that depend on?

± 5 g to ± 10 g on a pack crossing at a steady speed, with a 1 g minimum scale. Tell us what you are weighing and we will say what this frame can hold.

How does a failed pack leave the line?

The lamp reports and the pusher takes it off the rollers sideways. A flap, an air blow or a swing arm can be fitted instead.

Is this the same as an auto check weigher?

Yes. The pack is fed by conveyor and weighed in motion, so it is an auto check weigher, not a bench scale.

Do I need a metal detector as well?

This frame is a checkweigher only. If you also need contamination screening, a checkweigher metal detector combination is a different build.

What decides the checkweigher price?

Belt length and width, the rejection device, the accuracy and the finish. Send the pack and the line speed and we will quote the checkweigher conveyor price against that build.

Warranty and shipping?

Whole machine one year, with parts replaced free inside it. It ships by sea, air or international express, and payment can go through Alibaba Trade Assurance.

Tell us the carton and the line speed, and we will size the XP500 around it.

Send the pack size, the weight per piece and your belt speed. We will come back on fit, on the accuracy you can hold and on how a failed pack should leave your line.
