The 4020 tunnel opens 400 × 200 mm. This one opens 500 × 300 mm.
| Bulk bags | The 500 × 300 mm opening takes a bulk bag whole. The belt carries 10 kg per piece. |
| Heavy cartons | Full cases go through at line speed. Belt speed adjusts up to 70 m/min. |
| Reject options | Pusher, flap, air blow or swing arm. We fit the one that suits your pack and line. |
Send the largest pack you run. We will check it against the 500 × 300 mm opening.
A 500 × 300 mm opening and a stand built for weight. This is the industrial 5030 configuration of the CQ-YW800 — the one for bulk bags, heavy cartons and large-format packs that will not fit a standard tunnel, up to 10 kg a piece. When something is wrong inside the pack the machine can either stop the line (NG shutdown) or take the pack out automatically.
On a heavy pack you do not always want the machine to throw something. The 5030 gives you both behaviours: NG shutdown, where the line stops and the pack stays put, or automatic removal, where a device takes the pack out and production carries on. Which one suits you depends on the pack and on what happens downstream.
The removal device itself is a configuration choice, fixed with you when the machine is ordered. These are the options this industrial 5030 scanner is built with:

Two different numbers get quoted for a machine like this. The one in the table is measured on an empty belt; the other is measured through the product, which is the number that matters on your line. Both are here so you can see the gap before you buy:
Specified on an empty belt; inside a loaded pack the limit depends on the product's density and pack thickness. Through sausage packs our own bench run resolved a 0.8 mm SUS ball — the card held to the screen in the video above.
The decision is made on a picture of the pack, not a single reading, which is why one tunnel carries a family of checks.

The tube fires a fan of X-rays down across the belt. The detector opposite records how much of that fan survives the pack, and the software draws the difference as a greyscale image. Dense matter eats more of the beam, so it shows up darker.
Everything after that is judgement: each image is compared against the settings for the product, the machine decides good or NG, and the NG handling either stops the line or removes the pack. Because the judgement is made on a picture, several checks ride on one pass — contamination, shape, count, shielding, seal.
The touchscreen carries the live image and the per-pack verdict, and every decision is logged for later review.
This is where a standard tunnel runs out of room. Bulk bags, heavy cartons, multi-pack trays, large-format packs — the 500 × 300 mm opening is the reason to pick the 5030 configuration, and 10 kg per piece is what the conveyor is rated for.
Typical work is a case or a bag coming straight from filling or packing, riding the belt through the beam, and either continuing to the next conveyor or being taken out by the removal device. Because the decision is made inside the tunnel, it makes no difference whether the pack is metal, foil or plain film.
Every unit is assembled and run in on our own floor before dispatch. Below: 5030 units lined up as working lines in the workshop.

The tunnel opens 500 × 300 mm, and the largest acceptable product is 300 × 260 mm upright or 500 × 10 mm flat, at up to 10 kg a piece.
Two behaviours are available: NG shutdown, where the line stops, or automatic removal by pusher, flap, air blow or swing arm. The device fitted is settled when the machine is ordered.
On an empty belt: 0.6 mm SUS 304, 1.0 mm ceramic, 2.0 mm glass. Through sausage packs our own bench run resolved a 0.8 mm SUS ball. The second figure is the one to compare with your own product.
Up to 10 kg per piece, at any belt speed from 10 to 70 m/min.
Full SUS 304 stainless steel with a food-grade PU belt, and the display runs in more than one language for mixed shift teams.
A LAN port and a USB port carry the data out for real-time reporting; the touchscreen shows the live image and the verdict for each pack, and every decision is logged.
Send the pack dimensions, the weight per piece and your belt speed, and we will come back on fit, the removal device and the 5030 configuration.
